These Terms apply when you use the Katalos public website, contact Katalos or submit catalogue material through the Katalos customer-upload service.
About Katalos
Katalos is an independent business operating under the Katalos name.
Website use
You may use the public site for legitimate business evaluation and communication. You must not:
- use the site or service unlawfully;
- attempt to interfere with or security-test the service without permission;
- upload malicious files or code; or
- attempt unauthorized access to jobs, systems or information.
Catalogue submissions
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to submit the catalogue data, files, product information and imagery you provide to Katalos.
Katalos services
Katalos may provide catalogue enrichment, taxonomy, bilingual product naming, product imagery, quality-control and managed content services. The capabilities and deliverables for a particular project depend on the service requested or separately agreed.
Outputs
Katalos aims to provide high-quality structured outputs. Source data may nevertheless be incomplete or incorrect, and outputs may require customer review. Katalos does not guarantee perfect or 100% accuracy. Outputs should be reviewed where they are used for material business decisions.
Intellectual property
Katalos retains its rights in the website, software, workflows, branding and proprietary systems. Customers retain the rights they already hold in their submitted data and materials. Submission gives Katalos only the limited rights reasonably necessary to process those materials for the requested service, quality assurance and service operation.
Third-party brands and content
Product names, trademarks, packshots and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Their display by Katalos does not imply endorsement unless expressly stated.
Confidentiality
Katalos will treat non-public customer-submitted catalogue information as confidential and use it only as reasonably necessary for the requested service, quality assurance and service operation described in these Terms.
Service availability and changes
Katalos may update, suspend, change or discontinue parts of the site or service. Katalos does not promise continuous or uninterrupted availability.
Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Katalos is not responsible for indirect losses arising solely from reliance on incomplete or incorrect source data, or from use of outputs in ways the service does not support. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
