This notice explains how Katalos handles information when you visit katalos.net, contact Katalos or submit a catalogue through the Katalos customer-upload service. Katalos is currently an independent business operating under the Katalos name.
Information Katalos may process
Depending on how you interact with Katalos, the information processed may include:
- your company name, email address, business segment and market region;
- an uploaded catalogue file and the product information it contains;
- service and job information needed to process a submission and return requested outputs;
- enquiries and other business correspondence;
- essential security or session information used by the customer-upload service; and
- technical or security information generated by hosting and security infrastructure.
These public services do not currently ask for payment-card information, create advertising or marketing-cookie profiles, or request precise location information.
The marketing website
katalos.net currently does not use analytics, advertising pixels or marketing cookies, and it does not contain forms that directly submit personal data. It links visitors to the Katalos customer-upload service, LinkedIn and email contact. Hosting or security infrastructure may still generate technical access or security information.
The customer-upload service
upload.katalos.net processes information supplied by customers to:
- receive catalogue submissions;
- create and process requested catalogue work;
- enrich and structure product data;
- produce requested outputs;
- communicate about submissions and service delivery; and
- protect private job access and service security.
The public upload form currently accepts CSV, XLSX and XLS files.
Internal quality assurance and service reliability
Information submitted to Katalos may be processed internally where reasonably necessary to:
- provide the requested service;
- perform quality assurance and investigate errors;
- maintain and improve the reliability of Katalos catalogue processing; and
- secure and operate the service.
Katalos does not sell customer data, publish confidential customer data, use it for unrelated advertising or use it to train unrelated third-party AI models.
Why Katalos processes information
Depending on the interaction and applicable law, processing may be necessary:
- to take steps requested by a customer or provide requested services;
- for legitimate interests in operating, protecting and improving Katalos; and
- to meet applicable legal obligations where relevant.
Retention
Uploaded customer catalogues and generated delivery files are retained for up to 90 days unless earlier deletion is requested.
Enquiries, business correspondence, operational metadata and technical or security logs are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, service administration, security and applicable legal obligations.
Sharing and service providers
Katalos may use service providers needed for hosting and infrastructure, security and edge delivery, email communication and technical service operation. Information is not sold to third parties for advertising.
International processing
Katalos's service providers or technical infrastructure may process information in different countries. Where applicable, Katalos will seek to use appropriate safeguards required by applicable data-protection law.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information, restrict or object to processing, and request portability where applicable. To make a request, email support@katalos.net.
Cookies
katalos.net currently uses no analytics or marketing cookies. The customer-upload application may use strictly necessary security and session cookies to keep private jobs secure and prevent unauthorized requests.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change as Katalos services evolve, providers or infrastructure change, or Katalos becomes formally incorporated. The latest version will be published on this page with its update date.
